The Armenian Mental Health Initiative is a not-for-profit enterprise that provide interested persons with tele-health support services, evidence-based medical information, training, peer-to-peer consultations, and other resources through the Website and via third party telephonic and electronic services (e.g. Zoom). We neither receive nor grant financial incentives relating to the provision of mental health services through this Website. Our tele-health services should not be construed as a therapy service.
This Policy is intended to comply with all applicable United States and, European Union, and Armenian privacy laws, including, but not limited to, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Action (COPAA).

HIPAA and Telesupport Compliance

We might make use of the services of third party business associates (BA) who perform certain functions or activities that involve creating, receiving, maintaining, or transmitting PHI on our behalf, including, but not limited to, electronic communication and data storage, claims processing or administration, data analysis, quality assurance, and billing services. We will disclose your PHI to BA’s only as permitted under a business associate agreement or other relationship in which the BA is subject to restrictions on the disclosure of PHI compliant with HIPAA.
We may disclose your PHI without your consent for treatment, payment, and health care operations reasons as permitted under HIPAA, or as otherwise limited by applicable law.

Choices About How We Use and Disclose Your Information
We strive to provide you with choices regarding the personal information you provide to us. We have created mechanisms to provide you with the following control over your information:
